About This Blog

Elisa and Steve are getting hitched in June! We look forward to the merrymaking and a chance to celebrate with our closest friends and family. We did not intend to register for wedding gifts because we have been so blessed that we don't have a pressing need for household items. A friend made it clear that a wedding registry is really helpful for guests who are able to chip in on a present. She encouraged us to "crowdfund" for an official honeymoon!

Once she reassured us that it was not ridiculously selfish--just acceptably/we're getting hitched selfish--we found ourselves getting so excited. We don't have time to travel after the wedding, as Steve will (hopefully) be in a CNA program at that time.

(We will be going to NOLA--woohooo!--before we actually get married ;-)

But what about a real honeymoon? Perhaps during the December break? Christmas in Europe! The gentle fall of snow on our shoulders as Germany revelry carousels on in the background... the call of the Swiss Alps as I ski down the slope... the steins, the liederhosen... all this we couldn't afford without the help of family and friends.

It has always been a dream of Steve's to go to Germany. And it has always been a dream of mine to travel abroad with a partner and ski in a foreign country. We would love it if our friends and family would consider donating to our travel fund in lieu of a gift.

So, the plan: Elisa and Steve travel to Germany and Switzerland (or France, depending) during the December break.

The pledge: We pledge to post regular updates during the voyage on our Facebook pages and on this blog. Some of our intended spots are posted on the right-hand side of this page, but these are tentative plans a this point. The blog will be updated as our plans are ironed out.

Take a look around. If and only if you have the means and are able to donate, it would be so appreciated. (Support and love is shown in many ways, of course, not just money!)

Thanks for your love and support in whatever way it is shown!

Clicking the "Donate" button will take you to a secure Paypal site.
